Alligator Five is a new math activity for making Numbers to 5 that I've just added to the bundle.
As well as helping your children match and remember colors in order, they will discover ways of making 5.
Using their play mat they add counters in a row to match the card.
Make it more challenging by:
- having students make 2 at a time and see ways to make 10
- have them flip the card over and re-make the pattern from memory
- play a listening game - put 10 alligator cards out and say the color names of one card - students look and find it (e.g. pink, green, green, green, pink)
- say an addition sentence (2+3) and have students find a colored card that matches
