Here is a printable daily morning chart you can use as you guide your students in a morning discussion that includes:
- naming the day
- talking about yesterday and tomorrow
- gradually building an understanding of how a week at school unfolds
- what activities you'll do today
- some of the expectations of the day (keep it short and simple)
- beginning to read/recognize the names of the days of the week
You can choose from a one day or three day chart and have students attach day name cards as appropriate. Perhaps a different classroom helper could do this each day.
