Kinder Drawing Packs

My new Kinder Drawing directed drawing packs have options to help you implement a range of activities over multiple lessons throughout the week.

Students will practice drawing, fine motor skills, pre-writing, handwriting, informative text writing and reading with each practical pack of activities. The drawings are simple to follow, skill based and support letter formation and handwriting development

Here are some pages from the crab pack to give you an idea of what is included:

Big Drawing

Follow the steps (which you could secure in place in a drawing or writing center) and draw a big picture using the framed page.

Finish the Pictures

Students look at the main picture and finish the others to match. They will look and find what is missing from each.

Pattern Page

Here your children can practice tracing some patterns and lines that feature in the drawing or shapes. This can be a page of fluency practice for handwriting skill development. You can pop it in a plastic sleeve for use with a dry erase marker too.

Reading and Writing

I've included a page of simple facts about crabs to help students write a simple informative text using the scaffold provided. They can draw first and then finish each sentence starter using some facts of their choice.

Handwriting Letters

A page of letters to practice is included. I've chosen letters that can be written with some of the movements used in drawing to crab.

More Drawing Page Options

In addition to the big drawing page, you can choose to use one that has the steps included. 3 options are provided - including one with a sentence to read and copy and one with a word bank and space to write.

Of course you can simply use the steps to guide an art lesson where students draw the crab and can add more detail with crayons and paint too.

Painting allows kindergarteners to express their creativity freely. They can choose their colors, mix and match them, creating unique works of art. This freedom to create fosters their imagination and helps them develop a sense of individuality.
