From My Desk – A Little Creative Catch-Up

Hello friends! I thought I’d pop in with a little round-up of what’s been keeping me busy (and very happily messy with paints, pencils, and glue sticks!) over the past week or so. Grab a cup of something delicious, and let’s catch up.

Bright Bold Alphabet Animals – A Peek Inside My Sketchbook

Bright, Bold, and a Dash of Pastel – Alphabet Animals

Lately, I’ve been working on some bright and bold animal illustrations for my alphabet resources. Think vibrant colors, cheeky little faces, and letters that practically dance off the page! You can catch a few sneak peeks over on Instagram this week.

Some are making their way into my updated Big Bold Alphabet Coloring Book already. Your little ones can have a blast coloring or painting them while experimenting with fun color combinations (just like I have been this week!).

New Math Craft – Dog’s Dots

This one makes me smile — Dog’s Dots is my latest math craft, featuring an adorable dalmatian! Students can add a set number of crayon dot scribbles or fingerprint-painted spots, then write the number on the dog’s collar. It’s perfect for number sense practice and fine motor fun.

Dalmatians in the Sketchbook & Creative Play

Speaking of dalmatians… they’ve also made their way into my sketchbook! I’m working through a long (and very fun) list of amazing animals at random, just to keep my creativity buzzing. I’m also taking a little breather from my “doodle month” challenge, but you’ll still find some relaxed creative planner prompts on Instagram through August. We’ll be back to daily doodles in September!

A “Glow-Up” for I Like School

Back-to-school season is here, so I’ve given my I Like School Craft Mini Book a fresh design and a new drawing option. It’s a sweet, easy activity for the first week of school.

A Note for My Math Newsletter Friends

If you’re on my math newsletter, check your inbox! I’ve sent some differentiated warm-up ideas to go along with Dog’s Dots, plus there’s a quick Instagram reel if you want a peek: Watch the reel

Thanks for joining me for a little creative catch-up. I hope something here sparks a smile or an idea for your classroom. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead — I’ll be back in your inbox (and sketchbook!) again soon.
