Ladybug Clocks, Coloring, and Telling Time Fun! 🐞⏰
If you're teaching your students to tell time to the hour and half hour, I have an exciting little update for you!My popular time-telling resource just got even better!
Clocks for Hour and Half Hour Time now includes a bonus coloring page featuring 3 clocks—perfect for writing both analog and digital time. It's a great companion to your classroom lessons and makes for a quick assessment or center activity.
3 Fun Math Wall Warm-Ups with Time Clocks
Here are three quick and engaging 5-minute activities you can use on your math wall with time clocks—perfect as brain breaks or lesson starters!1. “Fly the Ladybug!” 🐞
Print and display a selection of ladybug clock cards (each showing a fixed time) around the room or on your math wall. In the center of the circle, place a leaf-shaped mat or dry erase board. Call out a time (e.g., “Half past 2!”) and have one student “fly” the matching ladybug to the leaf. They can either:- copy the clock hands onto the board, or
- match it with a second copy of the ladybug from a mixed pile.
2. "Match It Minute Madness"
Post digital times on sticky notes. Scatter analog clocks with matching times around the room. Set a timer and have students race to match the digital time to the correct clock. Quick, active, and great for reinforcing hour and half-hour connections.3. "Time Talk Partner Challenge"
Give each student a clock card with a time on it. Let them pair up and take turns describing the time (without showing their card). Their partner must draw it on a mini clock whiteboard or say the time aloud.Try This: Ladybug Clock Craft
