Start with an ocean themed bulletin boar or display! What about some fish? Here is one made with hearts and you can have students order them by size before they start glueing.
Later, make a list of small, medium and large ocean creatures and look at some ocean information books.
Here are some ideas for adding more detail to the fish (you can find it to print from my Sweet Hearts One Page Craft pack)! Your students can draw after painting and add:
A Fishbowl Sensory Bin:
Fill a large bin with water, add some fish toys, and let the kids explore. They can use their hands, scoops, or other tools to play with the fish and water.
Fish Painting:
Give the kids some paint and paper, and have them paint their own fish using basic shapes- and oval and triangle to start. They can use their hands, brushes, or sponges to create different watery and ocean effects.
