Happy Spinners Math Game

Number games and hands-on play make learning fun and interactive for our students, helping them learn to love math! Here is a game you can play with the Happy Spinners from the Math Kit.

• have a spinner and 5 dice
• roll one dice and add it to 1, saying the total - e.g. 1+1=2
• once the total is found, cover the number with the dice
• continue around the spinner

There is no winner just lots of addition fun, building on fluency! 

After this game you could also have your learners:

• roll 2 dice and find the total, repeating and trying to improve their speed
• use 10 sided dice, adding larger numbers to the spinner
• use 2 dice and practice adding 3 numbers
