My snowman name craft pack can help your make a lovely classroom display for the winter holiday season. Here are some tips!
- print the pages at a smaller ratio for less cutting (these images show the snowmen at full size)
- use the plain snowball option and have students write the letters of their name
- spend a math lesson creating a numbered list of the all the letters needed for the class a week before you start the craft
- write a chart of all the class names and for a brain break or warm up each day, take a few letters and count the total
Also, with these snowmen on display, have a listening warm-up for math or literacy. Challenge students to find a name based on your verbal description - e.g.:
- Which snowman has 5 letters, the last being a vowel?
- How many snowmen have 6 letters in their name?
- Which snowman is between two that have double letters?
