Over in our Coloring Club today we added a new one page craft page. Your children can color or paint a purple Fringed Lily, or Muraban as they are named in the Awabakal indigenous language here in Australia.
First paint or color the petals.
When dry, add some purple crayon detail.
Cut out the pieces.
Around the edge of the petals, show your students how to fringe snip.
First glue the three outer petals together, then layer the others on top.
Glue the center piece over the petals and you are finished!
These pretty Australian native flower crafts would look beautiful on a classroom display or around the edge of a bulletin board!
Together with your students you can so some research on this plant or other native plants and how they were used in the indigenous culture.
If you are not yet part of our free coloring club, you can find more information over on our website.
