To play Alphabet or sound Bingo

Each student has a mat (this desk helper) and 5 counters/markers.

1. Ask students to cover 5 letters of their choice.
2. Randomly call out letters of the alphabet.
3. As letters are called, students remove counters from their game board (if matching)
4. The first student to have an empty board may be declared the winner.

Variations

• Call letter sounds rather than letter names
• Call words beginning with the letter/sound
• Call out the letter BEFORE the focus letter (great for alphabetical order)
• Call out students names who are in the class/school that begin with the focus letters
