These cvc Word Cards will help your students move from single sounds to segmenting phonemes and reading and writing words.
I differentiated them as I found that the cards then became perfect for targeting the different skills that each student in a class needs.
Emergent learners can point, sound-out and trace each letter on the level 1 cards.
Level 2 students can identify the beginning sound and write it before tracing the other two.
Level 3 students can identify the first two sounds with the support of the final sound given on the card.
Your most confident learners can attempt sounding out and identifying all three letter sounds on the fourth set.
