Summertime is the perfect time to get creative and have fun, and what better way to do that than by drawing turtles? These slow-moving creatures are a symbol of relaxation and peace, and they're also a lot of fun to draw.
Here are a few tips for drawing turtles:
- Start with a basic shape for the body.
- Draw 2 curves to the side for the shell.
- Draw the legs - you cab draw three toes on each if you like.
- Draw a curved line for the mouth.
- Add two eyes.
- Decorate your turtle with a shell pattern.
You can find some printable steps over in my store - along with a tracing, reading and writing page.
Once you've finished drawing your turtle, you can color it however you like. You can also add a background, such as a beach or a pond.
Here are a few ideas for turtle-themed activities:
- Draw a whole family of turtles.
- Create a comic strip about a turtle's adventures.
- Write a story about a turtle.
- Make a turtle puppet out of paper or felt.
- Play a game of "Turtle Tag."
