Cupcake Number Games

Are you looking for some fun hands-on games to review numbers 1-10 during February? Our sweet cupcake pack will delight and engage your little learners.

It includes 4 printable games to play!

It is ideal for small group rotations, centers, math workshop or for independent exploration in a math play area.

Here are the games:

Cupcake Match

Children will have fun matching cupcake tops and bases to show their understanding of numbers, subitizing and number words. Cupcake cards feature numbers 1-10.

Cupcake Snap

Students will match numerals to dot patterns (subitizing).

Cupcake Bingo

Students will identify numerals 1-10.

Decorate a Cupcake

Students will explore early multiplication by making 'groups of' cupcakes and decorating them with counters (sweets)

As well as these printable games we encourage you to:
  • let children make 10 cupcakes from playdough
  • use the cards creatively and flexibly in a math play space - they might order the numbers for example in a cupcake line or make sets of counters to match
  • use the cards in some whole group lessons - for example the snap cards can be used to introduce odd and even numbers

Odd and Even Cupcakes

Select a number from 1-10 from the cupcake cards spread out on the playing space.
Ask for the odd/even number that comes after it.
A student identifies it and finds the card from the selection.
This student can then choose a new number and the game starts again.

These games are available in a mini bundle over in our store - find it HERE
