Labeling places to store and return equipment is one of the easiest ways to help create an organized space and day.

Tips and tricks
- don't worry about laminating them - you have so many tasks to do as a teacher - just print, write and go
- print 2 or 3 more sets than you need, cut them and store them in a little box in your storeroom - you can quickly replace or create a new label in seconds when you need it through the class day
- attach simply with pegs (clothespins) or blue tac
- ask students to help you write the labels - creating a purposeful writing activity and building class community
- in the early years classroom, take students on a 'class tour' in the first few days, point to each label and read it to the class - have them repeat back to you - do this several times to build classroom awareness and reading skills
