Comprehension Activities

6 activities are included to encourage a deep-dive into the text and exploring the comprehension of your students.

Making Connections

Students will write or draw about a time they persevered - just like Bunny did climbing a hill!

Monitoring

A cloze activity will see your students monitoring their understanding as they read.

 Predicting

Students will predict by visualizing their own Egg Drop contraption - put themselves into the story and extending on the storyline.

Questioning

Students will answer simple questions about their reading. These are the types of questions we want students to begin to ask themselves as they read.

Summarizing

Students will create a short summary of the simple text by identifying the character and 2 events.

Visualizing

Students will visualize to draw what the egg looks like when it lands from The Egg Drop. There is predicting integrated with this too!

 Bunny Writing Project

Students will plan and write a short story about a bunny. They can draw to plan or write simple words/phrases.

3 line variations are included for students to publish on.

op family word activity

Students will paste 'op words' on the basket in this work-work activity.

Fine motor activities

Students can trace or 'pin' to foster strong fine motor skills in these 2 included activities:

Bunny and Egg One Page Craft
