Morning Doodles, Flowers & Creative Flow – Join the March Doodle Challenge!

Hello lovely drawing friends!

Are you enjoying the March Doodle Challenge so far? I’ve been sharing a quick morning doodle or sometimes a full-page sketch over on my Instagram channel each day, and it’s been such a lovely way to start the day. A few minutes with a sketchbook brings so much creative energy and those calm, mindful moments we all need.

If you’re thinking about joining in, it’s absolutely not too late! All you really need is a sketchbook and a few minutes each day. You can find the challenge details here:

Fluency Circles Practice Page

Today I shared a little bonus creative challenge. Try filling an entire page with simple fluency circles, ovals, and rounded shapes. It’s a wonderful way to build confidence and develop flow in your drawing. Think of it a bit like runners building “time on their legs”—artists build confidence with time on the page.

I added happy faces to many of my shapes, but you can turn them into anything you like—flowers, suns, Easter eggs, or any little characters your imagination comes up with. If your children would enjoy a simpler activity today, I’ve also included a free coloring page they can use.

Happy Face Doodle Shapes

I’ve been drawing lots of flowers this month as well. Yesterday’s doodles were cherry blossoms, and I’ll be sharing more floral ideas throughout the challenge. Do pop over to the Instagram channel if you’d like to see the daily sketches and ideas!

Also, if you already have my Happy Flowers Classroom Bulletin Board and Door Display Set, I spent a little time this weekend giving it a mini glow-up for you. The set now includes four flower designs and a few extra welcome posters so you have even more options for your displays.
