Over on Instagram today, I shared a fun Math Story Play idea using our koala and the new dice play mats from the Math Kit bundle!👉 See the post here
- Invite your students to imagine Koala scooping pumpkin seeds as she makes her jack-o’-lantern 🎃
- 🎲 Roll a dice a few times — maybe three to five — and arrange the “seeds” to make ten.
- Then, see how many rolls it takes to make 20… or 30! You can even compare two pumpkins for a lovely “more or less” discussion.
It’s such a simple, joyful way to mix math, language, and imagination — and your classroom accents can help tell the story! Stick Koala on a craft stick to turn her into a little puppet for extra engagement. 💕
