Did you get my Creative Planner email last weekend?
It was all about a little October reset — easing back into your Creative Planner with a touch of magic.
If not, you can always sign up for the next one here:

And if you missed it, you can read about our October Creative Planner Challenge – The Magic Grid and print my page to color. I chose Magic and Nature for mine — and it turns out, life responded in kind!
This week, my lemon-lime tree gave me its very first fruit 🍋 — a lovely reminder that small creative seeds always grow. On my Magic Grid I’d written “tiny” and “growth”… and here we are.

🎁 A Tiny Gift for You
Here’s a mini challenge to keep your creative flow going and build on your Magic Grid ideas:✨ The Float + Feather Challenge
- Look back at your Magic Grid or October Rest Page.
- Choose any two of the 20 items you drew or wrote.
- Combine them.
- For example, I picked feathers and floating.
- What happens when you draw, doodle, or write about both at once?
- Set a timer for 1 minute.
- Use whatever’s on your desk — a pen, scrap of paper, sticky note — and sketch freely.
- Don’t overthink it.
- This is about movement, not mastery. Just let your lines wander.
- Reflect or expand.
- Look at your tiny sketch — what might it inspire next? Maybe a bigger drawing, a journal page, or a thought you can carry into the week.
This afternoon, I filled a little page with floating feathers — and who knows where that idea will drift next! 🌬️
If creative planning is part of your routine or something you’d like to get back into, this is such a simple way to reconnect.
🐾 A New Creative Planner Extra
If you’re looking for another cozy creative moment for the weekend, I’ve just added a new challenge to my TPT store:👉 Creative Planner Challenge: Black Cat Doodle & Coloring Page
It’s a calm 15–20 minute page you can:
- 🖤 glue into your Creative Planner,
- 🎨 use as a standalone doodle activity, or
- 🕯️ simply color for relaxation.
🕯️ A Creative Ritual
Whenever I do one of these little challenges, I light the same candle — a soft scent that tells my brain, “It’s creative time now.”It’s such a simple ritual, but over time, your mind starts to associate that scent with focus and calm. One candle can last all year and become a beautiful part of your creative rhythm.
Maybe you have a ritual too — a favorite tea, a playlist, or a cozy jumper. Whatever it is, make it your signal that it’s time to pause and create.
🌸 A Gentle Reminder
- You don’t need hours to be creative — just a few minutes of space and a spark of curiosity.
- Your planner isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence.
- So light your candle, open your planner, and take a breath — even one doodle can shift your whole day.
