Hello From My Desk
I hope you’re doing well and ready to start a happy new week! And if you’re not quite there yet, I’m sending best wishes for strength, calm, and a few little pockets of peace to help you ease into it.
It’s been a busy end to the weekend here — full of creativity, doodles, and a little bit of baking — so I thought I’d share a few updates you might have missed (especially if your weekend was a whirlwind too!).
You can learn more about it here.
A creative planner has been part of my life for years — and it’s not about firm planning at all! Mine is filled with sketches, ideas, snippets of inspiration, and little notes that often grow into bigger creative projects. It helps me ease into work, get into a calm, mindful flow, and reconnect with that happy, creative energy that fuels everything I do.
If you’d like to start one, I have a few printable challenges that make a lovely first step — they only take about 20 minutes, a pen, and a printer:

Creative Planner Pages & Doodle Month
If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ll have seen peeks of my Creative Planner pages and the fun Doodle Month challenges. I’m taking October off from Doodle Month, but if you’ve ever wanted to start your own creative planner, now’s a perfect time! You can learn more about it here.

🌵 Spooky, Spiky, Sparkly Cactus!
I’ve also shared a super cute new Halloween art project — a spiky, sparkly cactus! 🎃🌵✨ You can see it on the blog here.
It’s available as a standalone project in my store, but if you have the 123 More Pack of Drawings, you can reuse the cactus base from there and just give it a few spooky Halloween tweaks!

Weekend Baking: Mellow Yellow Sunshine Cake
Over the weekend, I baked what I’m calling my Mellow Yellow Sunshine Cake! ☀️ It was inspired by a recipe from AWW Bake, but I made a few happy changes — no coconut (I didn’t have any!), and butter instead of oil. The magic trio of yellow goodness — pineapple, banana, and butter — made it perfectly bright and cheerful. I topped it with cream cheese frosting for even more sunshine!
Baking each week has become my little ritual — something new, just for fun, and not related to drawing or crafting. I usually pop into stories on Fridays to share what I’m making if you’d like to follow along.

🦇 Math Warm-Up Idea
Over on Instagram today, I also shared a little math warm-up for those using Math Kit Bundle 2!🧮 Bat is rolling 5 dice and finding 2 that total more than the remaining 3.
It’s a fun challenge in strategic thinking — you can see it here
I’ve got more fun ideas and creative updates to share later this week — until then, I hope your Monday is gentle, happy, and full of small creative sparks. 💛
