A Silly September: Join Me for a Daily Doodle Challenge!

Striped snail doodle sketch for September challenge

Hello friends! 🌸

This morning in my little pond office, I started the day with my sketchbook open and a fresh cup of coffee nearby. My first doodle of the day? A few striped snails—because why not start the morning with a little silliness?

I’ve been working on something special for September: a planner page with daily doodle prompts! My idea is to have a “Silly September” filled with animals in funny, patterned, or just plain quirky situations. It’s a way to bring a bit of playful creativity into each day—and to keep me organized and energized at the same time.

Daily doodling has become my favorite way to start the day. Even just five minutes with pen and paper helps me clear my head, spark ideas, and (let’s be honest) it’s just plain fun! Drawing animals has always been a favorite of mine—they remind me to stay curious and playful.

Daily doodle planner page for artists and teachers

Today’s snail ended up with more personality than I planned: she’s holding a balloon to remind us to have fun, wearing glasses for curiosity, has a cheese shell (because strong bones, of course 🧀), and she’s gliding across popcorn—because I’m popping with excitement for this doodle challenge.

And here’s the best part: I’d love for you to join me!

I’m hosting another Daily Doodle Challenge in September. You’ll get my planner page (with prompts to guide you) and a few encouraging emails along the way. Whether you’re a teacher, an artist, or just someone who loves sneaking creativity into their daily routine, this challenge is for you.

Morning sketchbook routine for September inspiration

Betty (my ever-curious sidekick) was perched beside me this morning as I filled my page. She’s my little reminder to stay consistent, patient, and curious—a perfect drawing partner.

I can’t wait to open a fresh sketchbook, try out some new tools (maybe crayons or pastels this time!), and see where our silly September ideas take us. Will you join me?

Let’s make September fun, creative, and a little bit silly—together. 💛
