Joyful Learning Through Math, Art & Play!

From Book Logs to Blooms: A Cozy Catch-Up from My Desk

Hello sweet friends,

Just popping in with a warm "hello" from my desk — tea in hand, colored pencils nearby, and a desk full of little projects that bring me joy. If you’ve been away from your screen or soaking up the sunshine lately (good for you!), here’s a little roundup of what’s been happening over here at From the Pond.

Slow and Steady Reading – Turtle Book Log in Action

1. Book Logs Got a Mini Glow-Up!

Your favorite classroom book logs — the Crocodile and Owl displays — got a tiny makeover! You’ll now find a thicker spine option for stacking books, making your reading wall even more fun and interactive.

And there’s a new Turtle Book Log too! It’s perfect for slow, steady, and joyful reading across the school year. Track each title and author as you go… think your class can make it to 100 books?

3. Free Coloring Page Alert!

A free ‘Shine Bright’ coloring page is available today on the Pond Coloring Club website! It’ll also be added to the Standard Club soon (a teeny tiny yearly fee helps me keep drawing and sharing!).

4. Weekend Blooms & Sweet Memories

I picked up a bunch of chrysanthemums over the weekend, and it took me right back to slow Sunday mornings with my grandma. Just had to share that little happy moment.

5. Math Play Magic – Sum House is Here!

I finally brought my Sum House idea to life — a visual, hands-on addition activity to build number fluency in such a playful way. It’s now part of the Math Kit Bundle! Here’s the original doodle that inspired it, and I’ve got so many more math sets to come!

Not new — but freshly printed and looking cute around my own classroom setup! If you're prepping your space, my Bright Classroom Clipart (lphabet sets) is perfect for little accents and labeling. And yes, a brand new set is on the way soon!
