Number Card Warm Up

Playing with numbers and numeral cards in math warm ups and games helps children to learn math concepts in a meaningful way.

When children order numeral cards in play, they are exploring the concept of how we order numerals (placing them in a line, in a set position) in a hands-on way. This physical handling of numerals can lead to a deeper understanding of teh order and position of numbers.

Here is a quick math warm up to play with cards you may already have - it will also encourage fluent numeral identification too.
