Silly Sketch 6 - Wobbly Whale

Wobbly Whale Doodle — A Silly, Soothing Sketch

If you’ve been following along with my Silly Sketch Doodle Challenge, you’ll remember Day 6 — the Wobbly Whale! 🐋

The idea was simple: to let our lines wobble a little and flow like waves — because sometimes, our drawings (and our days) don’t need to be straight or perfect to be wonderful.

You can doodle a whale with a wobbly line pattern anywhere you like — in the corner of your Creative Planner, the edge of your notebook, or even on a sticky note at your desk. Of course, if you have time and space, a full sketchbook layout is perfect too!

My own wobbly whale is having a silly kind of day — balancing a cup on his tail, with a kitty cat nestled inside, flying a kite for a tail in the sunshine. Below the surface, fish swim among soft shapes and ripples, inspired by patterns I saw near the ocean — those tiny “glimmers” that spark creative ideas when you least expect them.

Here's a whale your children might like to draw too:

✏️ Try This:

  • Fill a corner of your page with gentle wobbly lines — see where they take you.
  • Draw a whale tail emerging from a wobbly wave.
  • Or let your lines wander across the page — a moment of calm in your day.

Whether you spend five minutes or fifty, let your pen move and your thoughts slow down. Wobbly lines are a lovely reminder that creativity doesn’t have to be neat — just noticed.

Feeling inspired?

Pop over to your planner or sketchbook and doodle your own Wobbly Whale today — and if you’d like, tag me on Instagram so I can see your silly sea creatures! 🌞
