This month, I’m keeping it simple and playful: I’ve set up a doodle page with one tiny box for each day of May. Each day, I’ll fill a little box with a quick doodle inspired by a fun prompt — just a few words to spark ideas and warm up my creative brain.
I pulled together lots of playful words, actions, and descriptions of things children love to play with and do — not only for my doodles, but also to feed into my creative work at From the Pond. It’s already feeling like such a fun, joyful month!
Today’s prompt is “Huggable.”
If you’re here reading, why not grab a pen and doodle along with me? Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- What comes to mind when you hear huggable?
- For me, it was instantly teddy bear (of course!).
Not a hug fan? Flip it — doodle something unhuggable!
And while we’re talking bears, here’s a fun art activity you might enjoy with your students or kids: Torn Paper Collage Bears
If you’d like to join me for this playful May Doodle Month, it’s not too late! You can jump in anytime — I’ve made it easy to catch up. Just sign up for my Creative Planner newsletter here and you’ll get the doodle challenge page in your welcome email (scroll to the bottom of that email for the bonus).
And of course, if you ever have a question or want to share your doodles, just hit reply on any of my emails — I love hearing from you!
Thanks so much for following along. Wishing you a happy Thursday — I’ll be back soon with more doodles and creative fun.
