Easter Directed Drawing

We did a project from my 'Easter Directed Drawing' today. I planned this for my daughter and I - and then preschooler Sam said he wanted to join in too!

He proved once again that you can never underestimate children! I had no clue he was going to love doing this activity - he really has only shown us 'scribbly' drawings to date.

My gosh! Here is his bunny. Just goes to show what a little direction and explaining can achieve. I love giving children the freedom to create their own artworks, but there is plenty of room for some specific drawing lessons!

We drew in pencil, traced in crayon and coloured in watercolour paint.

Sam added some creative detail - a rainy storm complete with glittery lightening bolts.

Here are our finished artworks. I tried hard NOT to join in but it got the better of me and I wanted to paint too. Sam said 'gee, yours looks so much like the picture Mummy'. Little does he know ;)

I took some time today to also update my packet on TpT to include 3 new projects! If you have purchased the license for this publication, please re-doawnload your copy and you will find the additions.

Find it in my TpT store HERE

Also, hop back a year to last year's post to find a bonus Easter chick freebie! Click on the image below to find it!
