Five for Friday - 29th January

The best time of the week has arrived! Here are 5 random happenings from my week.

1. No sugar Valentines
I found these fun non-food gift ideas for Valentine's Day over at Rachelle's store. Love!

2. Washi Tape Pegs
I got all crafty and actually made something I saw on Pinterest.

3. Hello Classroom
I have resumed a 5 day teaching program. People hate me for saying it, but who cares...... it is actually easier than teaching part time! Love it. I also love that I have a blackboard. And neon chalk.

4. Classroom Ideas
Speaking of classrooms, I love saving cute and practical ideas for the classroom. Find my Pinterest board HERE and follow along if you would like to start saving ideas too!

5. Clipart Addicts

Over the weekend I will post the final images in my January clipart addicts and scrappy addicts sets. Look out for the February listing and early-bird special price.

'Make Ten' Games

Learning to 'make ten' is such an important skill and will help your students on their journey to developing more complex skills in math.

I recently added three more activities to accompany my 'Make 10' print-and-play game packet on TpT.

Each printable game also includes a follow-up or recording worksheet and a cover page to help you organize your resources. I like to keep mine in clear plastic document wallets.

You can find my mini-bundle in my store HERE

Clipart Updates

Hi friends! I wanted to share with you some updates and new additions to my clipart collection.

My "Oh So Pretty" teacher-maker set has been updated. This one has elements that you can combine to make a cover for your documents or perhaps a classroom resource.

I listed a new version of this set also, with a few additional pieces and a new colour palette.

My 'watermelon' set has been completely remade.

New colours in my 'counting cubes' set!

Make some fun games and activities with these cupcake puzzle templates.

I have started a growing bundle of 'pretty dividers' (provided in fun bright colours and line art) to make your worksheets and notes look snazzy.

And revised my Scrappy Butterflies set! There are now 2 colour options for each design. I apologise for any inconvenience caused with this set - the download was not working correctly and I had accidentally been checking the listing of my other set of scrappy butterflies.

You can thank a nasty summer storm for all my clipart busyness! I am currently residing in an 'internet connection disaster zone' according to my provider. No more Netflix for a while, and limited online activity...
The result? I am getting a whole lot of work done! Silver lining to a horrible storm I suppose.

Kangaroo Directed Drawing

The 26th January is Australia Day! We celebrate being Australian and our diverse country, cultures and community.

I made a kangaroo directed drawing that might fit in with what you are doing in the classroom to discuss and celebrate Australia Day.

Find it in google drive HERE

Five for Friday - 22nd January

Hi friends!

I am starting to get myself out of summer-mode and back into the real world! What better way to get back in routine that with a Five-For-Friday post!

Making a point of taking photos through the week to share in a FFF post is a great way to relish the small moments in life and build a sense of accomplishment out of the sometimes-random-and-chaotic world of being a teacher - if you don't currently do a post for this link-up, I highly recommend it. Add a reminder to your diary to think about a photo each day to share. I love the fact that there are no rules, and really - that is how Friday should be!

1. Sweet Games
I started to prep some sweet games this week, ready for February. This one will help familiarise students with a 100 chart. It is in my bundle HERE

2. Cupcake Months
I found these cute free templates in Amy's store and printed them on bright paper for a months-of-the-year display! They would also be great for birthdays!

3. Big First Day
You may remember when I posted about the birth of my sweet baby boy back in 2012. We have been on such a journey together here at home. Sam had his first day of preschool this week. He loved it. I cried. Life is beautiful but oh so rapid. My arms ached all day for one of our frequent hugs. Today I am writing this post from a house that just has me in it. Maybe the second or third day in 8 years all to myself. It is strange - quiet and empty. I am beginning to think Saturday will become my new favourite day.

4. Happyness
I went to the art gallery this week to see an exhibition called Happyness. In short, spelled incorrectly to reflect the notion that things can be messy or imperfect and still bring us joy.

Loved it.

This is a growing artwork that we could add to by folding a paper/ribbon star. It was breathtaking.

5. Mathtivity
Combining math and creativity in one fun learning experience - meet my fraction robot

Head over to Doodle Bugs for more FFF posts!

Puzzle Templates

If you have my January Clipart Addicts growing set you will find a new little batch of images uploaded today. Included is a 'fish puzzle'. Use them to create games and activities for your classroom and in printable resource files.

I think they would be really cute in a magnetic fishing game, where students have to fish out the matching cards to a pair.

Clipart for Teachers

As some of you may already know, I also blog over at Graphics From the Pond, with news and updates on clipart that I make for teacher-authors!

For 2016, I am giving my second blog a little rest and putting all my posts here. Each week or so I will do a quick review of new sets and revisions.

Today I listed 'A Little Stitched Up'. Inspired by one of my older sets - "All Stitched Up'.

I have given my 'Fancy Hearts' a little bit of a makeover. I got a little emotional doing this one, as they were images I made when I was still exploring my software and learning to get control of mouse-drawing. I thought they were fabulous at the time. Eek! It is a reminder for me to see how far I have come on this challenging and fun journey.
I was so tempted to try to make them 'perfect' when I revised them, but I undid a lot of my changes and kept them true to the originals as much as possible - warts and all. I think lots of people enjoy the whimsical nature of them.

I added 2 new frogs to my 'Frogs' set. Pretty proud of the clever name for this set ;)

A black and pale pink set of numbers have been added to my Heart Numbers set - just in time for Valentine's Day resource-making!

The parade of penguins has turned from five to seven!

New cupcake additions in the rainbow set and a fresh new palette of colours for my STILL FREE Scrappy Hearts!

If you own my Star Papers and Borders - find 4 new pages when you download and a bunch of new stars in my FREE Scrappy Stars set!

I have listed two brand new sets this weekend - Love Birds and Sweet Tens Blocks

If you receive the daily TpT 'New Items Listed by your Favorite Sellers' email - you will notice that I have my new sets marked with a black label to show their discount. The price shown in the email will be the full price, you need to click through to my store to find the sale price. I leave my sets on sale for 24 hours after the release of the email.

If you are interested in receiving these daily alerts from TpT - you just need to 'follow me' over at TpT.

Please keep a look out for a fundraising bundle that will be released this week, to help a family that has been through some difficult circumstances. I will post again to let you know when it is available. I have donated the following 2 new exclusive sets to support this special family.

I've also been adding new daily doodles to my Monthly Clipart Addicts sets. I love trying to include as many ideas of yours as possible into these bundles, so if you have any, do not hesitate to send them through!
